Read Romans 5-8
I have always loved reading through Romans as I continue to learn more about the depth of God’s grace and love. Each chapter is packed full of rich explanation of how much God loves us. These four chapters highlight exactly how extraordinary the cross really is. I love how Paul contrasts how much damage sin through one man has caused, but even greater how much good will come through the sacrifice of one man.
I need the reminder that I am unable to love and do right apart from God’s grace; that I cannot do anything to deserve salvation, but that it was through one tremendous act of obedience that I have been given the cure for my wickedness. Lord, thank you for doing what I am unable to do for myself, help me to humbly follow you each day.
