Read 2 & 3 John/Jude

And now, all glory to God, who is able to keep you from stumbling, and who will bring you into his glorious presence innocent of sin and with great joy.  All glory to him, who alone is God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Yes, glory, majesty, power, and authority belong to Him, in the beginning, now, and forevermore. Amen. – Jude 24-25, NIV

Wow! Do those words put our life in perspective! How big and great is God and yet God still chooses to give up His son for me. My only response to this love is to receive it, and live for Christ. William Carey had quite a response to this reality as well. He started missions as we know it today, by seeing a globe he put together, and then realizing how many people on the globe didn’t know the awesome God that Jude speaks of.  When William shared his passion…he was laughed at because he wasn’t “qualified” to do great things for God. Were the disciples any different?

They had a lot of religious upbringing, but they were rejected as not being good enough to be great, by the leaders of their time. When Jesus came to them it didn’t seem he had some huge persuasive speech prepared for them, it was simple…”follow me.”

God has planted us in all sorts of relational places in our community. God is still saying… follow me. Seeing where someone is at in their walk with Christ is usually very evident by the decisions they make with life, which is a result of our understanding of the God that Jude talks about. Whether it’s growing where you are planted, or reading God’s word and looking differently at a globe, God has called you. What’s your decision?

Father I pray that I would put myself in place, recognizing you as the very High God.
